An LED TV (or more properly - an LED-backlight LCD TV) is an LCD TV that has LED backlighting not the normally used cold fluorescent lights. With that you will get thinner panel, a brighter display,and less energy resources.
There are three types of LED TVs -
- dynamic RGB LEDs,
- white Edge-LEDs and
- full-array
These 3 have very few differences.... An LED display is much brighter and clearer compared to LCD and I would recomend spendign a few extra bucks unless you can get a really good deal. My post about that LED on Amazon is the best deal going right now after looking around.
